Our Projects

The Westside Improvement Association has completed many wonderful projects. We have been working to complete projects that have our community in mind. Our goal is to fulfill our mission, to make Vanderburgh County a place we can be proud of!

Shirley James Memorial

Shirley James was a faithful member of the Westside Improvement Association and spearheaded many wonderful community improvement and beautification projects. You can see the memorial within Burdette Park, which is dedicated to Shirley's tenacious spirit and long-time service to the Westside Improvement Association and the city of Evansville.

Our beautiful Helfrich Gateway Park sits at the corner of North St. Joseph Avenue and West Maryland Street. This is an on-going project of the Westside Improvement Association and will be even more beautiful as the flowers and trees mature. We have many other future improvements planned for the Helfrich Gateway Park, contact us for more information.
